Virgin Grounds is an enhanced re-issue of an instrumental album originally composed for television series, ‘Conquer The Arctic’ (1991) It was released then under an alias name, Orion. Several tracks have been rearranged, and two new tracks have been dded to the original album, ‘Departure’ and ‘Arrival’.

Official release of this 13-track instrumental album 15/October/2023. Only a limited amount of copies of numbered and signed CDs will be made available. The pre-sale of the Virgin Grounds cd begins 15/August, with a limited numbered and signed edition.

about the artist:
Ton Scherpenzeel is most known for his forty-eight year career as leader, composer, and keyboardist of the world renowned prog rock band, Kayak. But that is not his only musical legacy. He is also known for his years as keyboardist for prog rock bands Camel and Earth and Fire. In addition to his band and solo careers, Ton is an avid composer and musician in theatre and record productions in the Netherlands. He produced two albums for folk band, Flairck and has composed music and toured with Dutch comedian Youp van ‘t Hek (1984 – present).
